New Pictures & Birthday Question
I forgot to mention - I have new pictures on flickr now. :-D
And I can't remember if I've asked this question before or not. Is it silly or fun to have a birthday party for your one year old? I'm trying to decide if there would be anyone who would want to come see Benjamin and Ella stuff their faces with some cake or should it just be us?

We had a lot of family and friend (mostly family though) come to D's first birthday party, and although it was great for everyone to celebrate with us, D was very cranky, and somewhat overwhelmed with everyone there. If I could do it all over again, I'd just have the immediate family, and a friend or two. By the end of the party, D didn't want anything to do with his cake, and started crying :( Oh, and even though I tried to plan the party time around his nap schedule, the booger decided to boycott his napp the whole day, so that contributed alot to the crankiness.

well If you were going to have a party on the weekend after their birthday, we were planning to come up and visit then. We were planning M's party for the weekend before, so she can have one here with her friends.

We are doing the big party. We have a decent sized family, but both DH and I have a ton of friends that had kids around the same time. So we decided to do just do a huge 1st birthday. Right now the count is 60 adults and 22 kids!

Oh and I did a big party with family and some friends for my kids 1st. They may not have remembered it then, but they love looking at the pictures of it now.

I'm going to keep our 1dt birthday small. Immediate family. Maybe a friend or two. I want to make two mini cakes and get lots of photos. Thats really the point isn't it. I think a lot of people could be overwhelming...maybe more for me that for them :-)
but by all means..have a huge party if you're inclined. I see nothing wrong with it. You only turn one once.

I don't care if people think it's silly...they're coming to watch my babies stuff their faves with cake and they'll have fun, damn it!
HAHA!
I sent out the invites today in fact. I can't believe it's a month away. It's unreal how fast time goes.
